The Rise of the Suljuok
The scene is of the Turkish drama # The Rise of the Seljuks.
The character is that of the famous Muslim thinker Abu Hamid al-Ghazali and his dia
The context is that an old and senior Mullah Sahib of Madrasa Nizamiya, who is also the head madrasa there, along with two of his (intellectually) infantry followers come to intimidate Ghazali. The reason is that Ghazali recently (according to the plot of the play) came to Nizamiya Madrasa and was overwhelmed by his intellect and knowledge. Mullah Sahib is jealous because Ghazali is getting all the protocol in his presence. ۔ Ghazali also performs the duties of a judge in a trial held at the royal court and Mullah Sahib does not like any junior to be entitled to all the royal favors that he should get due to his seniority. When they have a dialogue, the arguments that they came to throw at Ghazali as a mountain are shattered by a few words of Ghazali. Seeing the arguments go in vain, Mullah pulls out his traditional weapon and accuses Ghazali of being Omar Khayyam nowadays. Why do they get up and sit down with him and in his laboratory there are experiments based on "infidel science" in which various observations and experiments on stars and planets are done. They are given so much respect and are considered so powerful.Ghazali smiles in response and advises him to sift through everything he hears and praises his shoes, which are made of the finest cow's leather, and asks him if he has why not make shoes out of cotton instead of leather? Mullah is angry because he had seen that in response to such things he would also hear a bitter and bitter astringent thing. Ghazali continues to say that shoes made of leather are strong. They protect our feet from the cold, water, rocks and dirt, while cotton shoes do not protect them. When we say that leather is strong, do we say a little that we are honoring leather instead of the Creator? Not at all In the same way, the people in the laboratory observe the sky and the stars in order to know the system that Allah has created to run this universe. By Allah, it does not mean at all that they are making the stars independent by giving them instead of God.
Mullah Sahib could not add any argument in response to this and said that it was all a fitna and went back threatening to burn.
After he leaves, Ghazali says the following to one of his students.

Abu Hamed Al-Ghazali: I have been victorious in every intelligent argument I’ve participated in. But I have always lost against those who do not know that they do not know.
Don’t argue with them.
You will not win.
Translation
Abu Hamid al-Ghazali: I have always won in every rational debate, but I have always lost to those who are unaware of their own ignorance. Never argue with such people. You will never win
Note: Sheikh Saadi also says the same thing when he says
To argue with a fool is to prove there are two
